Artist U Win Pe’s “Water Playing” Art Exhibition will be held from 9 to 13 January 2026, daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, at The Gallery by AYA SOMPO (No. 412, Merchant Road, Yangon, Myanmar). This upcoming exhibition, which highlights the artistic vision of one of Myanmar’s most respected artists, is proudly shared with art lovers through the MY Yangon website.

Widely recognized as a multi-talented artist, U Win Pe was born in Mandalay and was introduced to painting and music from a very young age. He later studied under renowned local artist U Ba Thet and began his professional career as an illustrator for People’s Daily in the early 1960s. U Win Pe also served as the Principal of the State School of Fine Arts, Music and Dancing, and continued to expand his creative journey as a film director, short story writer, and screenplay writer, making a lasting contribution to Myanmar’s art and cultural landscape.
